The Book Edit is delighted to announce their new UK-based writing competition, The Writers’ Prize.
Break Into The Publishing Industry
Set up by Emily Pedder, a developmental editor and Course Director/co-founder of The Novel Studio at City, University of London, The Book Edit specialises in editing and helps develop and fine-tune novels, short stories, or non-fiction writing.
The Writers’ Prize aims to shine a light on talented, unpublished novelists from communities and backgrounds under-represented in the publishing industry.
So if you're trying to break your way into the publishing scene, this is your opportunity! Eight lucky winners will read their work live at a showcase in front of industry professionals and influential contacts of The Book Edit. After the event, an anthology of the readings will be created and published on the website of The Book Edit for you to access.
Entering is easy, and it's free! All you need is the first 1000 words of your novel. The submission deadline is midnight on 22nd October 22nd, so you have until then to make your 1000 words submission. If you're a talented writer looking to make your way into the industry, this is a fantastic opportunity. For more information, eligibility, and key dates, you can view The Book Edit's website.
